Step inside Inger's home and you find colour on every wall, paintings she has made herself, and corners arranged for different kinds of making. It is the home of someone who has thought carefully about how to live, and decided that beauty is not optional.
Inger is a former architect and artist. Her closest neighbour and friend of 27 years, Susanne, is an environmental lawyer with a love of music. They met in a housing community designed specifically to encourage connection — and that idea has never left them. They still knit with their neighbours once a month, volunteer together at a local dance studio, and find time most weeks to simply sit and talk about everything.
This open house is built around the thing they both believe in most: that creativity and community are not separate pursuits. They feed each other. The afternoon will move between conversation and making — guests are invited to try their hand at knitting, clay sculpting, or crafts, surrounded by Inger's art and the warmth of a home built for exactly this kind of gathering. Susanne, who lives just next door, and will co-host.
