Dinner at Karen's: Rethinking Sustainability
Karen opens her design home in Hornbæk for a dinner on sustainability. Over a homemade meal, she shares her perspective from over 30 years of work in the field, and invites the table into an honest conversation about what sustainability actually requires of us.
After years of leading organisations, publishing research, and shaping national agendas, Karen is still brave enough to question her own assumptions. The central question of the evening: Is sustainability even possible?
This is not a lecture you sit through. It is a conversation you take part in. You will leave with a sharper understanding of what sustainability means, and what it asks of the people who care about it.
As Karen puts it: "What kind of life do we want for future generations? This will be an evening of positive ideas and dreams for the future."
About Karen
Karen Blincoe PhD has worked in sustainability, design, and education for over 30 years. She was Director of Schumacher College in England, founded the ICIS Center, and co-founded Chora 2030 in Denmark. In 2022 she published Achieving Sustainability: The Ultimate Human Challenge.
