Originally from the UK, Jacqui has spent much of her adult life living and working across different cultures. Her career in global health has taken her from Bangladesh and Ghana to Tanzania, Georgia, and Moldova, before eventually building a life in Denmark with her Danish husband, Lars.
Along the way, she has learned a great deal about adaptation, belonging, identity, and what it means to feel at home in a place that wasn't originally your own.
Today, Jacqui lives with her Danish husband Lars in Christianshavn's historic Lagkagehuset building, the house that inspired the name of Denmark's well-known bakery chain. It is here, overlooking the canals, that she hosts her Sunday gatherings.
Warm, thoughtful, and deeply interested in people, she enjoys bringing together different perspectives and hearing how others have navigated their own journeys through life.
About Sunday at Jacqui’s
Spend a Sunday afternoon in Jacqui’s Christianshavn home for a traditional English-style afternoon tea.
Over coffee, tea, cake, and conversation, Jacqui will share stories about building a life between cultures, adapting to new places, and how environments slowly shape who we become.
Guests are invited into an open and reflective conversation about identity, belonging, change, and life abroad.
SILVERS is a Copenhagen-based platform connecting guests with experienced people over dinners and conversations in their homes.
