Lisbet and Michael are two of our most experienced Silvers hosts in Denmark. This summer, they open their home in Båstad, Sweden.
For decades, they worked internationally, including many years at IBM, where long-term thinking, structure and complex problem-solving were part of daily life. Today, that foundation shapes how they approach their crafts.
Lisbet spends her time in the greenhouse, developing paintings and ceramics. She returned to art during Covid and approached it with seriousness and discipline. She now exhibits her work regularly. Curious by nature and impatient to try new things, she continues to challenge herself. Creativity, she says, gives her energy.
Michael works in his nearby workshop restoring classic mahogany boats. He rebuilds them slowly and carefully, often over years. The mindset is familiar: focus, patience, attention to detail. Only the material has changed.
About Open House
Lisbet and Michael invite you to their summer house, and into the spaces where they now spend their time. You will step into the greenhouse to see paintings and ceramics in progress, and into the workshop where boats are restored piece by piece.
Over coffee and cake, they open a conversation on process and transformation: how experience evolves, how work reshapes itself over time, and what it means to keep developing a craft.
