Silvers Dinners: Creative gathering with Marina
Marina is an artist, collector, and creative thinker with a background in collage, sustainable art, and unconventional storytelling. She now focuses on sharing everything she has learned through years of working with materials, ideas, and people: in art and in conversation. Marina has spent over 30 years creating provocative collage artworks.
Her work explores themes of recycling, history, gender politics, taboo, nature, and sexuality, and she is known for her highly detailed, rule-based creative process. She has exhibited her art widely and has hosted conversation salons, creative gatherings, and dinners, always making space for new ideas and perspectives. She describes her approach as ""ordered chaos"": a way of working within limitations while embracing unpredictability, whether in art, in life, or in the way strangers come together around a table.
About Dinner
Join for an evening at Marina’s in her home studio in Amager, where you will experience her Haitian art collection, her own art, conversation, and the kind of gathering where strangers feel like old friends. Marina has more than 30 years of experience working with collage, collecting materials, and bringing people together. She has hosted conversation salons, creative gatherings, and dinners, always making space for other curious people and ideas.
She has a talent for finding connections between people, things, and moments. Marina will host an evening where conversation flows naturally, and maybe, if it feels right, she’ll share her collage art techniques. Her home is filled with magazines, prints, and photographs she has collected over the years, and she might invite you (if you are curious!) to explore and create something of your own.
Come and play, connect, and try something new. Leave with new perspectives, new friends, and an evening well spent. See you!
