Dorte has over 30 years of experience as a scenographer, artist, and storyteller, creating spaces that spark imagination and reflection.
She began her career at Riddersalen with Jytte Abildstrøm and has since designed performances that bring real stories to life — including The Witch’s Testament, which honoured the voices of women accused of witchcraft in Denmark.
Curious by nature, Dorte’s interests span crafts, rituals, songs, and the transitions that shape both people and societies. She sees creativity as something far more than art, as a way of making sense of the world.
