Marina is an artist, collector, and creative thinker with over 30 years of experience working with collage, sustainable art, and unconventional storytelling.
Her work explores themes of recycling, history, gender politics, taboo, nature, and sexuality, and she is known for her highly detailed, rule-based creative process. She describes her approach as "ordered chaos": a way of working within limitations while embracing unpredictability, whether in art, or in life.
Her home studio in Amager is filled with her own artworks, her Haitian collection, and the materials she has gathered over decades. Guests will be able to see selected pieces, hear stories from her creative life, and explore the environment that shapes her practice. Afterwards, there will be time to create some collage of your own.
Marina loves connecting with people and creating space for conversation, curiosity, and new ideas. Her home is stacked with magazines, prints, and photographs she has collected over the years.
Human tip: Marina ran away to Haiti as a teenager (where her Haitian art collection began!)
