Sunday at Lisbet & Michael's (Båstad): The Practice of Craft
At 15:00, you join a small group of 4–6 guests in a Silver’s home for coffee, cake, and conversation. Lisbet and Michael are two of our most experienced Silvers hosts in Denmark. This summer, they open their home in Båstad, Sweden. For decades, they worked internationally, including many years at IBM, where long-term thinking, structure and complex problem-solving were part of daily life. Today, that foundation shapes how they approach their crafts. Lisbet spends her time in the greenhouse, developing paintings and ceramics. She returned to art during Covid and approached it with seriousness and discipline. She now exhibits her work regularly. Curious by nature and impatient to try new things, she continues to challenge herself. Creativity, she says, gives her energy. Michael works in his nearby workshop restoring classic mahogany boats. He rebuilds them slowly and carefully, often over years. The mindset is familiar: focus, patience, attention to detail. Only the material has changed. About Open House Lisbet and Michael invite you to their summer house, and into the spaces where they now spend their time. You will step into the greenhouse to see paintings and ceramics in progress, and into the workshop where boats are restored piece by piece. Over coffee and cake, they open a conversation on process and transformation: how experience evolves, how work reshapes itself over time, and what it means to keep developing a craft. SILVERS is a Copenhagen-based platform connecting guests with experienced people over dinners and conversations in their homes.

Dinner at Jacqui's: A Lifetime Creating Change
Jacqui has over 30 years experience working with change on many levels – from shifting societal norms and transforming organisational culture to understanding individual behaviours in order to influence them. Originally from the UK, Jacqui spent much of her career working in global health from Bangladesh, Ghana, Tanzania to Georgia and Moldova to reduce inequalities in health. She has developed and led communication campaigns to create social change and promote behaviours on many issues including HIV, immunisation, gender violence, maternal and child health, and COVID, working at every level: within communities, in the media, with technology, and with governments. More recently Jacqui trained as a coach and works with people to manage and adopt change in their professional work lives. Jacqui lives with her Danish husband Lars in a historic Christianshavn home, famously known as the Lagkagehuset building that inspired the name of the bakery chain. This is where she will host her Silvers Dinner. About Dinner Over a homemade meal, Jacqui will share her experience of working to create change – and the social and individual impact it can have. She’ll also open a conversation about how norms shape behaviour, and the things we can’t easily change in our environment that are, in turn, changing us. Jacqui wants this evening to be a relaxed and interesting conversation, a chance to exchange views and reflect together on what drives change in our own lives and societies, and what it means to us. Dinner with Lasse: The Art of Choosing Your Life
Lasse has spent much of his life taking advantage of the opportunities that life has offered. Among other things, as a carpenter, social worker, NGO founder, designer, ship assistant and traveller around the world (at least between 2-4 months per year). Lasse has moved between practical, design, administrative and organizational on several levels. He is someone who seems to have lived many different lives in one and hence spent years moving between cultures, projects and ideas. In 1998, Lasse, founded the NGO Children Nepal Denmark with a focus on education, equality and human rights for low-caste children in Pokhara/Nepal. Alongside this work, he has continued to design furniture and built his minimalist home located in Bagsvard. What connects it all is a deep curiosity for people, cultures, autonomy, and the different ways a life can be shaped and lived. He is always experimenting, testing ideas and pushing his own limits. As he puts it: “There must be limits somewhere, but I haven't found them yet. “ About Dinner Come meet a life artist focused on being conscious of one's own autonomy, and the art of seizing life where opportunities arise. Over a home-cooked meal, you can hear stories of coincidences that have brought Lasse around the world, and the many threads that have shaped the life he has chosen to live. The conversation moves between cultures, values, life choices and the question of how consciously we choose our own path. Lasse is equally interested in his guests' experiences and wants the evening to feel open, curious and shaped by those around the table. Dinner at Mikael Colville-Andersen's: How Cities Shape People
Mikael Colville-Andersen has spent over 30 years observing, shaping, and telling stories about cities. As an urban designer and host of The Life-Sized City, his work has taken him to more than 100 cities around the world, exploring how cities actually work when they are designed for people, not systems. Everything Mikael does is driven by the simple idea: cities should make life better for the people who live in them. His career spans urban planning, bicycle culture, design, photography and filmmaking, always rooted in observation, curiosity, and real human behaviour. In recent years, this work has taken him to Ukraine, where he has volunteered since 2022, applying urban thinking in the middle of war – from tactical urbanism to spaces designed for trauma recovery and care. And navigating it all - and everything else - with his own anxiety disorder, PTSD and ADHD. Learn more about Mikael here:  About the Evening This is a rare chance to spend an evening with a true change-maker, in an extended Silvers format designed to go deeper. Mikael welcomes guests into his home for a longer, more relaxed gathering that feels closer to friends coming over than a traditional dinner event. Over dinner and conversation, with time to explore his home, he will share his stories from a life spent observing cities up close. Mikael wants the evening to feel like high-energy hygge: curious, open, and conversational. There will be space to really get to know one another, ask questions, and let the evening unfold naturally. Dinner at Lian's: Malaysian Food & Storytelling
Lian's dinners aren't about her, they're about you. As a guide to storytelling and deep listening circles, Lian creates an atmosphere where people feel deeply connected to themselves, to their own stories, and to each other. Her circles are built around connection: the quiet, human experience of being heard, seen, and understood without judgment. Lian calls herself a Silver Crone - an elderly woman with lived wisdom and a steady presence. Her role is not to talk about herself, but to keep a space where your voice, your reflections, and your insights can unfold naturally. No storytelling experience is necessary - just come as you are. Lian's work is shaped by her Malaysian-Chinese heritage, her sensitivity to human stories, and her background in writing. She is the author of My Bumpy Ride to Inner Peace, A Listening Grandmother and is currently completing her third book, A Forgiving Grandmother - My Path of Alchemy. About dinner Serving a home-cooked Malaysian meal, Lian draws on decades of expertise to invite meaningful conversation around themes such as identity, self-discovery and finding inner peace. Her conviction is simple: we already have the answers we need, we just need to speak from the heart and be true witnesses. In her dinners, she makes it happen. You will leave with: • Greater clarity about the reality you are creating • Deeper trust in your own voice • The experience of being truly heard • Meaningful connection with others Each gathering is shaped by those present. No two evenings are the same. SILVERS is a Copenhagen-based platform connecting guests with experienced people over dinners and conversations in their homes.

Dinner at Mikael's: Where Music Meets Architecture
Mikael Tosti has over 40 years of experience across architecture, music, theatre, and composition. Born in Odense, he later moved to Aarhus (the cultural capital of the time) and became deeply involved in the music scene while studying architecture. He discovered how naturally the two fields connect, and began working in theatre production and stage design, using well-known spaces in completely new ways to create ambitious outdoor performances. His life continued to revolve around music, theatre, and architecture. He wrote records, toured as part of Danish trio Tundra through Latin America, and collaborated with musicians across Cuba, Venezuela, Peru, and Norway. In the mid-90s Mikael moved to Copenhagen, where he studied contemporary music composition and continued to experiment – especially with the shift from analog to digital. The shift spawned many questions and led to a PhD thesis which explored the core question for many contemporary creators: “How do digital tools change our understanding of the material we work with?” It's a relevant question for all of us, whether you're an artist, social worker or entrepreneur. As Mikael says: "When you write music by hand, you have touched every detail, but digitally you can suddenly create works that you only have to get to know afterwards". Today Mikael also works in analogue and digital as a director in TJAEK, which has contractors and craftsmen as customers. About the Dinner Over dinner in his Amagerbrø home, Mikael will explore the idea of a “life’s red thread” – the themes, decisions, and tools that shape who we become. He will share stories from a career that crosses art forms and continents, and open a conversation about intuition, creativity, and how the tools we use influence what we make.

Dinner at Phuong's: Inside a Vietnamese kitchen
50+ years of cooking and creating across cultures has taught Phuong that a meal is more than nourishment - it’s a way to connect and understand one another. She grew up in a small village in central Vietnam, where food was at the heart of daily life. From her grandmother who lived off her own vegetables until the age of 90, to her mother who taught her the rituals of respect at the table, Phuong learned early that food is about culture, nutrition, joy, and connection - a medicine for life. Her journey later took her far from home: to Hanoi, where she ran her own tailoring shop; to Bhutan, where she taught young designers how to turn traditional textiles into modern clothing; and to the Philippines, where she earned a degree in fashion design. Since 2010, she has made Copenhagen her home, continuing her craft while building a new life in Denmark. About Dinner Phuong loves to host. Over dinner, she invites you to experience the flavours and traditions she grew up with. Together you will prepare authentic Vietnamese spring rolls, while she shares stories of her life across cultures, and experience how food becomes a way to express care, identity, and belonging. Dinner at Nadia's: Daring to Do It Your Way
With over 50 years of experience building community across cultures, Nadia has lived a life shaped by daring – daring to do things her own way, going beyond cultural expectations, and building her own way of belonging in Denmark. Born in Cairo, Nadia moved to Europe in her early twenties. Along the way she learned Danish in one year, adopted children at a time when it was uncommon in her community, and built a social life from scratch: starting women’s gatherings, sports groups, and language circles. Nadia is someone who does not wait to be invited in – she creates the space. As she says: “You can make it in Denmark, but you have to give the first hand.” She is living proof of her own philosophy: over 30 years ago, she gathered a small group of women for tennis – and to this day, they still meet every Wednesday to play, share dinner, and talk late into the evening. For Nadia, curiosity, continuity, and openness are the foundations of a good life. She has always found her own way through challenges and change by daring to be herself – fully, openly, and without apology. About Dinner In her home in Hellerup, Nadia welcomes guests for a homemade Egyptian meal and an evening about daring – and building the life you want. Nadia is a warm and generous host who loves to ask questions and draw people into conversation. She will share her own turning points and invite guests to reflect on theirs – the times they dared, or the moments they didn’t.
