Silvers Dinners: Being a World Citizen with Mette

Join for an evening of food at Mette’s in her art- and design-filled apartment, where you’ll experience the joy of collecting stories, art, and perspectives from around the world. Mette describes herself as a world citizen with Danish blood in her veins, she is an entrepreneur, writer, and lover of deep conversations who doesn't follow the mainstream. She has spent decades moving between countries, gathering experiences, connections, and carefully chosen pieces that now fill her home.
Mette will serve an Asian-inspired meal from the places she has lived and invite you to conversation about belonging, change, and what it means to build a life across cultures. Come curious for conversation and leave with new perspectives from a Danish woman who has spent her life exploring, thinking, and finding her authentic self.
Mette will serve a homemade dish and afterwards will offer participants the chance to explore their life stories in a small writing exercise led by her, showcasing all her experience and wisdom she's gained around the world.
About Mette:
Mette is a writer, and self-proclaimed world citizen with Danish blood in her veins and the world in her heart. She has spent her life moving between countries, collecting experiences, perspectives, and art from every corner of the world. For over 45 years, she has worked across cultures, mentoring others, building communities, and guiding people in self-expression through writing. She is passionate about aesthetics, deep conversations, and the connections that form when people share their stories. She believes that “home is not a place, but something you carry with you wherever you go.”
What is included
- Access to Mette's art-filled home with 7-9 other guests.
- A home-cooked Asian meal (dishes from the places she has lived)
- Time for storytelling, conversation, and connection
- A small writing exercise guided by Mette's life experience for participants who want to be inspired.

- The dinner will be in English or Danish depending on the group.
- Be ready to listen, share, and explore new ideas
- Please arrive on time
- Some light beverages will be served, but you are welcome your own alcoholic drinks to enjoy
