Silvers Dinners: A Syrian Meal in Youssra's Kitchen

Youssra grew up in Syria in a home where cooking was at the center of everything. She moved to Denmark as a youngster and spent most of her life working as an English teacher while raising a family - always in the business of cooking, always catering to people.
When she was in her 60s, she decided to follow the thread that had been there all along. She started her own catering business, Youssra's Kitchen, and now cooks full-time from their kitchen, often with music in her ears and the door open.
This dinner is a rare chance to be welcomed into her kitchen. She cooks a traditional Syrian meal, dishes that she has learned from her mother and grandmother, and shares stories of food, migration and resilience.
The format is simple: a home-cooked meal, made with time, served around the table in Youssra's home. You are invited to eat, ask questions and embrace the wisdom inherent in her way of doing things.
Human tip: Youssra has a beautiful way of speaking, she brings life to everyday tasks with her words, like a poet. Keep your ears and eyes open - you will learn a lot from her:)

- Dinner hosted by Youssra in her apartment in Copenhagen
- A full Syrian meal including her signature rice dish (Al Kapsa) and dessert (Warbat)
- Tea, coffee, and homemade extras
- A warm and intimate group conversation around the table
